Silk is not just about the feel

Golden Week is in the second half. There are a lot of people everywhere.
The weather was nice every day, but there were many windy days. Even if you don't go out, I think it's a good idea to take the time to clean up the house during the holidays.
Personally, I want to clean the house the most. Lol
The other day, I was casually checking out an online apparel site while on the train.
If there is a brand that catches my eye, I will search for it directly, but recently, if I see something I like in an ad on Instagram , I will often go and check it out.
I often check Instagram whether I actually buy it or not.
I came across the word " Silk " on an online site I linked to from Instagram, and I wondered if it was satin silk. I wondered what kind of material it was, so I checked the material .
It said " Imitation Silk " and seemed to be 100% polyester.
What?! The product name has Silk in it!
When you hear the word "silk," you may have a vague idea that it is a "material that feels good to the touch," but it is actually one type of material. It is the name of a material, like cotton , wool , polyester, rayon, etc. Although the product name had " Silk " in it, I thought it would be more accurate to say " Silk-touch " or "Silky . "
Because I work with silk, I am in a position to communicate that there are big differences between natural and synthetic fibers, and that their origins and functionality are also very different, so I was very disappointed that the product names were confusing.
I believe this is a very rare occurrence, but as someone who is committed to promoting the quality of silk and its materials, I would like to help spread the word about correct "silk" even a little.
I've started seeing commercials for fabric softeners that feel like silk, and I think, "After all, it's good to have something that feels nice to touch and to wear!" But I also think that wearing silk is the best... and that silk's functionality isn't just about the feel...
It's made from natural materials, has antibacterial properties, some UV protection, the same ingredients as skin, and because it's made from fine fibers it automatically regulates body temperature... there are so many things to consider... lol
Today's post is mostly just a rambling ramble, but I hope that more people will think about these things every day and be moved by silk, and that more people will experience silk's functionality for " 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a year - in other words, all the time) comfort."
I thought this year's Golden Week would be long, but it seems to have ended rather quickly. I hope everyone has a fulfilling two days left!
