#9 Silk even when there is a dry weather warning?
Share
This morning's news said that there had been no rain on the 20th and a drought warning has been issued for Tokyo.
I'm always complaining about the rain, but dry weather is also a problem. We've had some nice weather and the blue skies have been nice, but...
I knew that there are more sunny days in winter than in summer, but I never imagined that it would go 20 days without rain.
The bad thing about dry air is that it makes your skin dry and causes static electricity!
"Wearing silk reduces static electricity"
This is a characteristic of silk. However, the other day I was wearing silk undergarments and I was getting a lot of static electricity, and my hair looked like it had been rubbed with a paper pad (like elementary school kids often do). lol
Static electricity is more likely to occur when positively charged fibers and negatively charged fibers come together.
The Plus Group includes nylon, wool, and rayon.
The negative group includes acrylic and polyester.
Natural fibers such as silk, cotton, and linen are neither positive nor negative and are exactly in the middle, making them less likely to become electrostatically charged.
...I see. The other day, the ends of my hair were sticking up and I felt static electricity, and the knitwear I was wearing had a wool and polyester blend. That's why! I was generating a lot of static electricity that day (to the point of being embarrassing).
What's more, even though I was wearing silk underneath, I was still generating a lot of static electricity, which almost made me question the idea that "silk does not generate static electricity."
Of course, if you wear silk from head to toe, it's less likely to generate static electricity! I'll do my best to come up with lots of great products like that.
By the way, synthetic fibers take away the oils from the skin, but silk is the fiber closest to the skin, so it blends in well with the skin and relieves the itchiness caused by dryness. Silk has too many good points to mention in one word.
Silk bra camisoles are recommended for people with dry skin, as I personally find that my stomach tends to dry out easily. In addition, they are made longer, so the waist area is also covered with silk to prevent dry skin.
