#6 Sunday nonsense (Shibuya construction edition)

Today, some sections of the Yamanote Line are suspended. The Yamanote Line is a line that goes all the way around Tokyo, and there are many major stations, so if you forget, it could be an inconvenient weekend. Please be careful.

This construction work is apparently for the improvement of Shibuya Station, but the changes it has brought to Shibuya are tremendous.
Shibuya changes every time I go there, and it really feels like the times are changing.

It's already been 10 years since Shibuya Hikarie opened ... time flies.
Many years have passed since Scramble Square opened, and office buildings with large screens have been constructed, sprouting up like bamboo.

There has always been construction going on somewhere around Shibuya Station, and Harajuku Station has also changed.
The wooden Harajuku Station building, which was a trademark of the station, has been demolished and replaced with a new one.
Harajuku Station used to be small, crowded, and cluttered, but now it's neat and tidy, and in its own way it feels a little lonely.

A large commercial facility is currently under construction in front of the intersection in front of Laforet Harajuku, and even during construction it has a strong presence. However, the image of Harajuku and Omotesando remains the same as it has always been - fashionable and always with something new.

Times and towns change in this way, but the essence remains the same. Good things are good things.
I would like to spread the word about silk at my own pace.

We at ar* currently operate pop-up stores mainly in the Kanto region, but we would be happy to hold them all over the country in the future.

That's all from Shinjuku, where the pop-up is currently being held!
