Have you checked the silk content?

When planning a product, we check a wide variety of fabrics, and there are so many to choose from, so we start by sorting them into what we want and what we don't.
Of course, you will choose the fabric that suits the product you want to make while also taking the cost into consideration, but there are many different fabrics available in the world.
When we say "silk," what percentage of silk should be included?
When I talked to a fabric store in Kyoto, I found it very interesting.
To be frank, if the silk content is less than 20 %, you hardly feel any silk at all.
If a fabric is 80 % cotton and only 20 % silk, it will have a mostly cotton texture.
Of course, I think that the silk content does have some benefits in terms of antibacterial properties and breathability compared to 100 % cotton , but I honestly don't know how effective it is.
So how long does it take for you to start to feel the silkiness? I'd say it's about 80 %.
In the European market, unless a product contains at least 40 % silk, it is not considered to " contain silk. "
For Japanese people, who have a very high opinion of silk, even 20 % silk is enough to be considered silk! However, I feel that anything less than 40 % is not enough to fully experience the goodness of silk.
I think 100 % silk is the most comfortable and you can feel it the most on your skin.
If it contains even a small amount, it will seem like a good product, but silk is not cheap, so if a product is too cheap, be sure to check the composition.
When you buy something online or in a store without really thinking about it, you may find that it feels different from what you expected, so we recommend products with a high silk content.
We often hear people say things like, "I bought silk online, but it wasn't what I imagined," or, "You can't really tell until you touch it, so you want to check it out in a store, but it's hard to find stores."
We hope you will come to our store, talk to us, and find a product that satisfies your needs so you can experience the benefits of silk!
