#11 "Can I wash these socks?"

I am often asked how to care for silk.
"Can it be washed?"
Kimonos and satin silk are associated with luxury, so there may be an image of them being worn once and then dry-cleaned.
I am often asked, "Can I wash both the socks and the 2way warmer ?"
Of course it's washable!!!
We started ar* because we wanted to make silk more accessible to everyone.
Socks that can't be washed aren't socks at all!! Lol Silk isn't that weak, so don't worry! We also sell towels made from 100% silk. They are washable and feel more moisturized than cotton, so I'd like you to actually try them out instead of just explaining them here.
Of course, it is difficult to generalize because some fabrics, such as satin and crepe de chine, are weaker depending on how the fabric is processed. It is true that how well you take care of it will affect how long it will last.
This is why washing instructions are in place, so it's important to follow them carefully.
However, if you put both the Silk 100% Inner and the Stretch Inner in a laundry net (this is important), use the hand wash cycle, and use detergent for delicates, there won't be any major issues.
It is true that silk is sometimes said to be a weaker fiber than other materials. This is because it is a delicate material, so silk can withstand friction with the skin , which means it is gentle on the skin and causes less friction.
Chemical fibers are man-made fibers. They may be easy to wash and not lose their shape easily, but they are too harsh on the skin. They can carry away sebum, causing dryness and inflammation.
It's up to the individual to decide which to choose. You might think it's a waste to spend money on underwear that you can't see, but it also lifts your spirits to be surrounded by things that "feel good" to wear.
If you want to know more, here's how to wash it properly.
