Silk from milk? Oh Em Gee!!!
Share
I'm still being influenced by Sustainability Week and I'm searching for various things.
So! I found it.
Did you know there is a noteworthy sustainable material technology?
As part of a move to further advance sustainability in the fashion industry, there has been active development of new materials that are environmentally friendly and can be commercially produced.
A German company has developed a patented technology to turn discarded milk into a functional material that is as soft as silk and kind to both the earth and humans.
The natural fibers made from it have natural bacteriostatic effects, high hydrophilicity , and thermal adhesive properties, and can be used in combination with other natural fibers.
Apparently, the company's technology is also being used in the world's first 100% natural plastic and cosmetics containing natural peptides extracted from milk.
There are people and companies that develop amazing things.
Because it's a drink!
It's milk!!!
A material made from milk that is as soft as silk... Isn't that amazing?
What's more, it was developed to reuse waste!
I'm sure we'll continue to see the emergence of new technologies that we can't even imagine today.
Otherwise, the Earth will be destroyed sooner or later.
(Well, I don't think the Earth will be destroyed in my lifetime, but it's important for future generations.)
I hope to experience this silky soft material someday.
Will they be able to impress us, who run a silk specialty store?
If it really is like silk, I would like to make a product out of it.
Through the development of biodegradable materials that reuse waste, technology that plays a part in reducing CO2 emissions and promoting a circular economy is attracting worldwide attention!
Silk is the best! Love Silk
