I studied the material used in the Japanese summer staple innerwear "XX Rhythm"

I had many new encounters in Kamakura today.

Today in Kamakura, there were a ton of people wearing school uniforms.

Was it around the time of the school trip?

It was a warm day today and it was really nice to be outside.

The weather was quite hot at one time.

Even though they were wearing light clothing, some people were wearing short sleeves and tank tops!

Summer is almost here

When it comes to innerwear to wear during hot weather, it's no exaggeration to say that every single person in Japan wears it, or has worn it at least once, and that's the famous XX rhythm from a certain monster company!

Of course I have worn it, and I even loved it.

But then I discovered Silk and threw it all away.

There were a few unopened stock packs in there, but I didn't care! I threw them away.

Because once you start wearing silk, there's no other innerwear that can beat it!

I didn't want to take up storage space in my house even though I didn't need it, and I thought it was a waste, but when I thought about my skin, I couldn't wear it anymore... so I threw it away.

And when we were introducing silk underwear during our pop-up stores (at all our locations), quite a number of customers would talk about rhythms, saying things like, "I don't like it," "That's really bad," "It stinks! It gets smellier and smellier," etc.

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts and comments about ○○Rhythm.

I was also involved in the fashion industry, so I knew about ____ rhythm! But that was just what I thought it was, until I found out the truth!

So many rhythms worn by Japanese people

In order to study, I read through the company's ____ rhythm LP, various fashion media articles, and research results/summaries of ____ rhythm of dry cleaners.

The selling points of XX Rhythm as touted by the company that developed, sold, and sold it are breathability, quick drying, and smooth fabric.

I don't need to say it, but I'm sure you all know that.

The material of ○○Rhythm is polyester (synthetic fiber).

The raw materials for this fiber are two chemicals, terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, both of which can be traced back to petroleum and natural gas!

Therefore, it is not absorbent, of course.

So, why does it have such breathability, quick-drying properties, and smooth fabric?

The petroleum fibers are woven together so that the gaps between the tiny threads collect moisture and allow it to evaporate!

It is breathable and quick drying, so when you sweat, the moisture evaporates quickly.

However, sweat contains proteins and fats.

They do not absorb oil, so it remains in the fibers.

So, the "odor" that customers are talking about is caused by this.

And when your laundry stinks after washing, what do you do? You probably use a nice-smelling fabric softener.

Right? Actually, it seems that fabric softener is not allowed for XX rhythm!

This is because fabric softeners have the effect of coating the fibers, reducing their breathability and quick-drying properties.

The fibers will get caught.

In that case, is there any point in wearing ○○ rhythm anymore?

There is a way to get rid of this odor without using fabric softener, but to be honest, it's a tedious process.

Are you going to go that far?

Times are different, and I don't think it's bad that technology is advancing.

I'm sure there are many people who have benefited from the progress they've made.

So I feel more grateful and thankful, but as for my skin, since we are born as human beings, skin makes up 1/6 of our body, from the dermis to the epidermis, so I want to take good care of it until I die.

Personally, I want to take good care of my skin and extend my healthy years (not that I want to live longer).

So, I personally and wholeheartedly believe that rather than clothes that are originally made from petroleum, it would be better to use natural materials for at least the clothes that come into direct contact with the skin!

I wouldn't say silk is a must, cotton would be good too!

During Golden Week, flip through your underwear drawer and think about what clothes you like to wear that come into direct contact with your skin. It might be a good idea to update your wish list with the intention of gradually getting rid of synthetic fiber clothes and replacing them with natural materials.

I love silk underwear after all.

Silk is the best! Love Silk
