How many more years for fossil fuels?

Today I'm going to deviate a little from the topic of silk and talk about an energy resource that I'm personally interested in.
When introducing silk clothing, we tell customers that because it is a natural fiber, it is gentle on the skin.
So, what is the opposite of natural fibers? Synthetic fibers.
Recycled fibers are also environmentally friendly, but they are still chemical fibers because they are made from chemicals. Some chemical fibers are made from petroleum-based plastics. Because they are man-made, they can be harsh on the skin and can dry it out.
Oil is used as fuel in thermal power generation. Because we rely on thermal power generation to generate electricity, I wondered if oil would ever run out if we continued to use it for fuel and clothing.
We often hear things like how many years are left until oil runs out.
In 1985 , the oil reserves were estimated at 36 years. Now it's 2024 , so I thought we might not be able to extract any more oil... but it seems that technological developments have made it possible to extract oil from deeper depths, and it is now possible to extract oil from shale layers (rocks).
As a result, the number of years that oil can be extracted is longer than ever before. I don't think the amount of oil reserves will change much in the next 30 years, but we can all be thankful for technological advances!
Even though winters are getting warmer every year, they are still cold. We can't survive without fuel.
Japan has a high dependency on fossil fuels compared to other countries in the world, with more than 83% of its energy coming from petroleum and other fossil fuels in 2021. Japan, which is poor in energy resources, relies on imports for 99.7 % of its petroleum and coal.
However, carbon dioxide emissions are a serious problem, with the earth sometimes referred to as boiling.
We need to use the energy we need efficiently and conserve our limited resources!
